I like to keep life as simple as possible in order for me to be as effective as possible. I work hard, love hard and am yet to play as hard, but will get there. I am passionate about being a catalyst of change in every area that I find myself in but what is important to me is the youth and the less fortunate being empowered to compete on the bigger stage.

I am big dreamer…yet there is always space to dream bigger as everyday I take one step closer to the yearnings of my heart. I love business, I love business and I love business, I love the challenges that it throws at me and the success of being able to
overcome and grow in the process.

She is a trained civil engineer who fell in love with marketing and has since never looked back. Her passion for selling and telling the unique stories that come with brands started back in KNUST where she realized students didn’t have any form of a catalog of things that happen in the course of the semester and teamed up with a couple of friends on this journey. She has steered and grown the company from its humble beginning as a magazine into a 360 creative marketing shop that never settles.

With a core team of 50 workers now, Beryl has steered the course of Echo from its inception as a magazine into an Experiential Marketing outfit into a digital agency to productions to sales. The creative marketing agency has worked with clients like MTN, VODAFONE, TIGO, SAMSUNG, GGBL, ECG, GNPC, ACCESS BANK, DKT INTERNATIONAL, KFC, and among others.

Beryl Agyekum from her days as a Dining Hall Prefect at St. Roses Senior High School has a long stint with leadership that has guided and maintained her on the path of empowerment and rewriting the place of the Ghanaian youth. For her, the main aim of EchoHouse is to provide a vision that moves beyond her into the growth, development of the young, daring and ambitious Ghanaian. It has not been easy guiding and leading a young team of about 500 students across the various tertiary campuses who share a common vision of changing the state of marketing beyond the coast of the 27 million Ghanaians.

For the past 7 years, Echo through its campus programs has helped groom and build so many careers from the former Marketing and Sales Manager at (Bernard Sokpe) to the CEO of Aero Shutter (Kwamena Hazel) to the Risk Assurance trained Best Events DJ of the year of Starr FM, DJ Vyrusky (Kofi Amoako) and Shatta Wale’s Manager (Julio Cyriaano Olympio).

Coming from an art and entertainment (lifestyle) led market, the focus for Beryl as Echo grows is to provide a platform for the youth to learn, appreciate and understand the opportunities available to them so as not to let them make the same mistakes she did. Beryl’s major motivation has been the empowerment of the youth, to create a platform for young, ambitious and daring Ghanaians to take charge and help develop the country through very little contribution. She was recently picked as one of the Top 30 Influential Ghanaians in 2016.
